Baseball Season Tickets Now Available

FORT WORTH, Texas - Fresh off their first-ever appearance in an NCAA Super Regional, the TCU baseball program is gearing up for another run in 2010. Season tickets are now on sale. Current season ticket holders have until January 29 to renew their tickets.
"There is a lot of great excitement on campus right now for our fall sports and, now, the winter sports as well," said head coach Jim Schlossnagle. "I have been approached by multitudes of TCU fans who, even now, are looking to get the best seats possible for baseball season. With that in mind, we wanted to make season tickets available at this time and I really, strongly encourage everyone to get your tickets now. With our success and regional hosting last year, I want to personally challenge everyone to buy out all of our permanent seats as season tickets."
TCU returns 23 members from its Fort Worth Regional Championship squad and they welcomed 11 newcomers this fall. The 2010 recruiting class was tabbed No. 4 by Baseball American. Four all-conference members return in catcher Bryan Holaday, shortstop Taylor Featherston, outfielder Jason Coats and pitcher Trent Appleby. Three members of the 2010 recruiting class chose college over professional ball in Matt Purke (1st round, Texas), Josh Elander (37th round, Washington) and Jerome Pena (40th round, Mets).
The 2010 schedule features 28 games. The Frogs will welcome non-conference opponents Sam Houston State (Feb. 19-21), UT San Antonio (March 2), Texas Tech (March 12-14), Texas State (March 23), UT Arlington (March 30), Oklahoma (April 6), Texas A&M (April 13), Dallas Baptist (April 19), Baylor (April 27) and Cal State Bakersfield (May 20-22). Conference foes making their way to Fort Worth include BYU (March 18-20), San Diego State (April 1-3), UNLV (April 23-25) and Air Force (May 14-16).
