
Volleyball Hosts Two Key Conference Matches

FORT WORTH, Texas - After playing their first three conference matches away from home, the TCU volleyball team is set to host two league matches this week. Air Force comes to town for a 7 p.m. match on Thursday and the weekend wraps-up with a 1 p.m. match against San Diego State on Saturday.
TCU NOTABLES
TCU saw its eight-match win streak come to an end at Colorado State.
Included in the win streak were two road conference victories at New Mexico and at Wyoming.
TCU's 13 victories are the most in the league this season.
Paced by Katelyn Blackwood's 4.06 digs per set, the Frogs lead the conference with an average of 15.49 digs per set.
Kristen Hester took over the league-lead with an average of 1.25 blocks per set.
The victory at Wyoming last Thursday marked the 200th win in program history.
TCU adopted volleyball as a varsity sport in 1996.
AIR FORCE NOTABLES
Air Force enters the match at 8-7, but have lost its last three matches.
The Falcons are 3-0 in five set matchs this season.
The Falcons are led by Caroline Kurtz who is averaging 3.09 kills per set.
Defensively, Kelly Spencer is averaging 2.91 digs per set, while Michelle Harrington has set the pace with an average of 0.86 blocks per set.
SERIES HISTORY - AIR FORCE
TCU holds a commanding 9-2 lead in the series.
The Frogs have won seven straight dating back to the 2005 campaign. Air Force is 0-5 all-time in Fort Worth.
The Frogs last loss in the series came on Nov. 5, 2005 in Colorado Springs.
SAN DIEGO STATE NOTABLES
The Aztecs are 6-7 entering the week and 1-2 in league play.
San Diego State is 4-6 away from home, including a 2-5 mark on their opponents courts, this season.
Kelsey Manasco is the leading offensive threat with an average of 2.60 kills per set.
Defensively, Kristi Jackels is averaging an league-best 4.23 digs per set, while Andrea Hannasch has set the pace with an average of 1.13 blocks per set.

San Diego State holds a commanding 6-4 lead in the series.
The Frogs have won three of the last four meetings.
