FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball assistant coach Linda Hampton has been selected to coach for USA Volleyball. She will be coaching in the programs developmental pipeline which features some of the top young volleyball players in the nation in their respective age groups.
Hampton will be traveling all over the country to coach the USA Volleyball Camps. She is currently in Austin working the USA Developmental A1 Camp from July 7-11. Then from July 12-16 she will be working the same camp in Colorado Springs, as well as in San Francisco from July 25-29.
In addition to a busy summer coaching schedule, Hampton recently completed the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy which took place from June 25-29.
The Women's Coaches Academy was created in 2002 and is a program offered through the NCAA to support, educate and help retain female coaches across all sports. The WCA is designed to give coaches the chance to understand their expanding role as a coach, along with perspectives and skills to help them make the most of their situation. The Academy also presents topics by many nationally renowned speakers.
"It was a great event that I highly recommend," said Hampton. "I learned so much and feel that it greatly contributed to my professional and personal development as a coach."
