TCU releases 2008-09 roster

The TCU Equestrian team released the 2008-09 roster today.
The Horned Frog roster is comprised of six newcomers, many of which hold World Championship crowns and other major riding achievements.
Courtney Chown - Pilot Point, Texas (Pilot Point HS) - Won the Reserve World Championship in Western Horsemanship in 2007 and has also won numerous awards in the American Quarter Horse Association.
Katherine Crenshaw - Austin, Texas (The Khabele School) - Comes to TCU as a titleholder in the SWS Championship, the Trillum Hunter/Jumper Association and the Zone Championship.
Ryann Bluhm - Issaquah, Wash. (Issaquah HS) - Holds six World Championships, including titles in Western Pleasure, Showmanship and Equitation.
Lyndsi Hardin - Orange Park, Fla. (Matanzas Academy) - Competes in both Western and Hunt Seat events. Hardin has been ranked in the APHA Top 20 the past three years, including a no. 5 all-around rank in 2007. Hardin is a 2008 PtHa World Champion in Showmanship, 2008 PtHA Reserve World Champion in Equitation, also including a third-place finish in Horsemanship and a fifth-place finish in the Reining.
Victoria Lee - Cordova, Tenn. (St. Mary's Episcopal) - 2007 Large Hunter Horse Reserve Champion and she also won the Western Tennessee Equitation over Fences and Equitation on the Flat Hunter/Jumper titles.
Taylor Frederick - Morrison, Colo. (D'Evelyn HS) - 2005 Horse of the Year Champion, Zone 8 Champion of Childrens Jumpers, has also won numerous Championships in the Medals and is currently qualifying for the MaClay Finals.
Last year's National Championship winning squad is led by seniors Carrie von Uhlit, Chloe Baker and Emma Carl. The Lady Frogs also return three of the five members that won the Varsity Equestrian Western National Championship, including sophomore Ashton Mickunas who was the only TCU rider to go undefeated in the tournament.
TCU will kickoff the 2008-09 season Sept. 27 where they will compete in the Baylor Tournament. All action can be followed at gofrogs.com.
