DES MOINES, Iowa - The following are quotes from the second day of competition at the 2008 NCAA Championships.
Virgil Hodge
"Overall, I think it was a great race, but I didn't get out like I should have. I was able to pick things back up at the curve, but I just lost control of the race the last 20 meters. This is a lesson learned, but I have other races so it's not over for me running wise. I am really sad though that I didn't make the finals, but overall I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to run for TCU for four years. It's tough to end my TCU career this way, but this is the end of it and I am very thankful."
Kishelle Paul
"The beginning of my race went really well, but in the end I just ran out of energy. Next year I am going to take practice more seriously so that I can build up my endurance to finish my races like I should."
Otis McDaniel
"This week hasn't gone the way that everyone has expected it to go, but hopefully tomorrow we can come in here and place in the top three in the 4x100."
Che Chavez
"I just tried to come out today and do my best. Now, I pass the baton off to Clemore to start the 4x400 next year."
