LINCOLN, Neb. - The following are quotes from some of TCU's top performers on the final day of competition at the NCAA Midwest Regional.
Darryl Anderson
"Today was not one of our stellar days. We as a staff have to do a better job of preparing the kids so that they understand the circumstances of what is in front of them. We have to go back and figure out how to show up as a team on a regular basis. It was pretty disappointing, but I am happy for the kids that took care of business and got out of the region."
Clemore Henry
"This means a lot to come out and help the relay team go to nationals. I always love the 4x100 because it is a fun race. Overall, I'm just happy I could help the team in Justyn's absence."
Andon Mitchell
"I just tried to stay relaxed and do my job today. I know that I am blessed to be going to nationals."
Kishelle Paul
"It feels great to be a regional champion, especially since it is my first time winning. I am very happy that everything I have done this year finally paid off. Hopefully, I can go do it again at nationals and come out on top."
Otis McDaniel
"It means a lot to come out here and qualify for nationals, especially since I wasn't able to last season because of redshirting. We could have run a lot better in the 4x100, but we have two weeks to get everything corrected and hopefully will be able to run well at nationals. Overall, I am pleased that I finally qualified as an automatic in the 200."
Virgil Hodge
"Today I didn't really have that good of a meet, but that's track and I just need to get refocused and get ready for the National Championships. Really, I just need to go back and train hard and do what I do, which is run fast and get top-places."
