FORT WORTH, Texas - The race for the conference title comes down to a three-game series against New Mexico this weekend for the TCU Horned Frogs. Both the Frogs and the Lobos enter the weekend with identical 16-5 marks in league play. TCU has won seven straight games, while New Mexico has won four of its last five entering the weekend. The series is slated for a 1 p.m. (CST) start Thursday and continues at 1 on Friday and Saturday.
TCU NOTABLES
• After finishing the month of April with a 16-4 mark, the Frogs are in the midst of a seven-game winning streak to open the month of May.
• The Frogs moved up one spot in the national poll to No. 24 in the Baseball America poll earlier this week.
• The Frogs have won five straight conference series, including sweeping four of them.
• At one point this season, the Frogs were 14-12, since, they have gone 22-4 to improve to 36-16.
