
TCU Athletics Announces Student-Athletes of the Month

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU Athletics Department announced Ashley Bolin and Robert Henson as its Student-Athletes of the Month while Carrie von Uhlit and Bart Johnson were selected as Scholar Athletes of the Month.
Ashley Bolin (Oshkosh, Wis. | Oshkosh West HS)
Bolin earned six individual wins in three Mountain West Conference meets for the Horned Frogs, while also contributing to a relay victory. The newcomer currently leads the squad with eight event wins for the season, coming in six different events. She currently sits in the MWC top-10 for the 100-free, 200-free, 500-free as well as the 400-IM.
Robert Henson (Longview, Texas | Longview HS)
Henson, a first-team All-MWC selection at linebacker, totaled 20 tackles in TCU's three November contests. The senior had 2.5 tackles for loss and an interception in a 44-14 win at UNLV and tied for team-high honors with 10 stops while adding a pass breakup at Utah. In his final game at Amon G. Carter Stadium, Henson posted six tackles as the Horned Frogs held Air Force to 161 yards in a 44-10 victory.
Carrie von Uhlit (Winters, Calif. | Dixon HS)
Senior Carrie von Uhlit won the 2008 AQHA World Championship in amateur reining on Nov. 13. Von Uhlit earned a victory scoring an 83 in horsemanship against Texas A&M. Against No. 2 Georgia, von Uhlit scored an 82 to earn her third victory in equitation over fences this season. Von Uhlit also posted event wins in horsemanship and reining against the Bulldogs, while also collecting MVP honors in reining. She is pursuing a double major in finance and entrepreneurial management.
Bart Johnson (Brownwood, Texas | Brownwood HS)
Johnson, a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection, had at least one reception in all three games during the month of November. The supply chain management major recorded a career-long 52-yard reception at Utah and also snared a 22-yard touchdown pass in the 44-10 win over Air Force.
