After beginning the day with a 7 a.m. Poinsettia Bowl welcome breakfast, TCU held a 90-minute practice at the University of San Diego. The Horned Frogs then went straight from USD to the San Diego Zoo.
In the evening, head coach Gary Patterson and players Andy Dalton, Stephen Hodge, Jerry Hughes, Giles Montgomery and Jason Phillips attended a Make-A-Wish Reception at the downtown Omni hotel.
Sunday's itinerary includes team meetings and a 1 p.m. practice followed by a trip to the Miramar Speed Circuit for indoor kart racing.
