
Edwards Tabbed MWC Co-Player of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - Kourtney Edwards was named Mountain West Conference Co-Player of the Week following her performances against Wyoming and No. 13 Colorado State this past weekend. The Frogs won both matches to improve to 8-6 in league play. The honor is the first of her career and the third for TCU this season.
Edwards, a 6-1 junior from Haltom City, Texas, led the Horned Frogs to a 2-0 conference record last week, including a four-set upset victory over No. 13 Colorado State.
In a 3-0 win over Wyoming, Edwards tallied 13 kills on 23 attempts for a .478 efficiency. She also had two blocks and two digs vs. the Cowgirls.
In the win over the 13th-ranked Rams, Edwards had a season-high hitting percentage of .556 (10-0-18), while also contributing five total blocks and three digs.
On the week, Edwards averaged 3.29 kills, 1.00 blocks, 0.71 digs and 3.90 points per set, while hitting .512 (23-2-41).
Devon Kirk earned Player of the Week honors on Sept. 22, while Megan Munce was honored on Oct. 20.
