FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football team has moved up three spots and is now ranked 12th in this week's Associated Press and USA Today polls released Sunday.
The Horned Frogs are at UNLV Saturday. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Central with the game nationally televised on CBS College Sports.
TCU (8-1, 5-0) has its highest national ranking since the final polls in 2005, when the Frogs concluded their 11-1 campaign at No. 9 in the USA Today Top 25 and No. 11 by AP.
The Frogs haven't been ranked this high in the middle of a season since being 10-0 and at No. 10 by the AP on Nov. 16, 2003.
TCU has a record of 8-1 or better after nine games for the fifth time in the last nine seasons. On each previous occasion, the Frogs went on to win at least 10 games. TCU has equaled its best start to a season since 2004.
