
"White Out" Kicks Off Big Volleyball Weekend

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team's first-ever home televised match kicks off a big weekend for the Horned Frogs. All fans to Thursday's 7 p.m. match, which airs live on The Mtn., are encouraged to wear white as the team takes a stab at setting the all-time home attendance record. The weekend concludes with a free-admission match on Saturday against UNLV at 1 p.m.

Thursday: "White Out" The first 1,000 fans to the gym will receive a free T-Shirt as the Frogs go for the home attendance record. The game will be televised live on The Mtn.
Saturday: Free admission. The volleyball team will be giving away free hand-held FM radios to the first 200 fans at the game. Following the contest their will be a free clinic for all kids in attendance.
TCU vs. San Diego State Series History
Thursday's match-up will be the 10th between the Aztecs and the Frogs. Despite trailing the series, 5-4, the Frogs have won three straight and 4-of-the-last-5. TCU is 2-2 all-time against San Diego State in Fort Worth and has won two straight.
TCU vs. UNLV Series History
The Frogs and the Rebels will be meeting for the 10th time in the series history. UNLV holds a commanding 8-1 series lead, having won seven straight. TCU is 1-3 all-time against UNLV in Fort Worth. The Frogs lone win in the series came at home in 1998.
Enjoying The Home Cooking
TCU is an impressive 7-1 at home this season. The record is a direct result of solid play in front of their home fans. They are averaging nearly 14 kills per set, over 14 digs per set and almost two blocks per set. The Frogs have lost a mere six sets at home this season and have five sweeps.
Serving Up The Ace
Megan Munce's serving performance against Air Force was record-setting. She broke the MWC record, which previously was nine, as was the TCU mark, with 12 aces in the victory back on Friday. She tallied 11 aces in the first set and served 18 consecutive points, which ties for second-most ever in the NCAA.
Games Won vs. Games Lost
The difference between wins and losses is night and day for the Frogs. In wins, the Frogs put up 14 kills versus just 11.7 in losses. They are hitting .282 as a team in wins and only .134 in losses. Defensively, their opponents are hitting .236 in losses and just .150 in victories.
