After the first three fall tournaments of the season and a strong summer showing - the TCU men's golf program was well represented in the latest world amateur rankings by Golfweek as well as The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrew's.
Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys High School)
It didn't take long for the TCU newcomer to get his first taste of gold for the Frogs as de Beer recorded a victory at The Prestige at PGA West in only his second collegiate tournament. The Frog freshman recorded a six-under-par score of 210 to tie Nate Pistacchio of UC Davis for the tournament title - including four-under-par score in the final round of action. In his first collegiate tournament - de Beer notched a 22nd-place showing at the Kansas Invitational.
