
Rifle Team Returns From The Break With A Win

FORT WORTH, Texas-The woman's rifle team captured its third win of the season against Ole Miss at home on Saturday. The Frogs topped Ole Miss, 4637-4554. Erin Lorenzen and Simone Riford, who placed in the top three in both air rifle and smallbore, highlighted the match.
Lorenzen earned a first place finish in air rifle with a score of 584 and finished third in smallbore with a 575. Riford finished second in air rifle trailing Lorenzen by only two points with a score of 582. She also scored a 580 in smallbore, which was good enough for second place in the event.
TCU shooters occupied the top four spots in both events. In air rifle and smallbore, Lauren Sullivan and Emily Paper joined Lorenzen and Riford to round out the top four spots in each event. Sullivan turned in scores of 582 in air rifle and 572 in smallbore. Paper finished fourth in air rifle with 582 points and earned a first place finish in smallbore with a score of 580.
Tanya Gorin also added to TCU's success by placing in the top ten in both events, with 571 points in air rifle and 560 points in smallbore. Bonnie Morgan saw success with a top ten finish in the air rifle as well.
TCU will travel to Nebraska and face the Cornhuskers on Jan. 26 for their next competition.
