
Flyin' Frogs continue action at the Pan American Games

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - TCU sprinter Virgil Hodge placed sixth overall in the women's 100-meter finals on Tuesday at the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil.
Hodge, a native of St. Kitts, crossed the finish line with a time of 11.40 at João Havelange Stadium. She will continue action on Wednesday in the preliminaries of the 200 meters.
Former TCU sprinters Kim Collins and Nathandra John also competed in Brazil on Tuesday.
After advancing past the semifinals and into the finals of the 100 meters with a mark of 10.32 on Monday, Collins bettered his time on Tuesday. Collins, a six-time All-American, logged a time of 10.31 to finish in fifth-place.
John, a three-time All-American, posted a time of 53.42 to place sixth in her semifinal heat of the women's 400 meters, but failed to qualify for Wednesday's final.
Hodge will resume action at João Havelange Stadium on Tuesday with the 200 meters.
