FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU track and field coach Darryl Anderson announced the signing of Matthew Love to a National Letter of Intent on Saturday.
Love, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is the 15th student-athlete to ink with the Flyin' Frogs for the 2008 season.
"I am excited to have Matthew join the program," Anderson said. "We were in need of another quarter-miler and he was a great fit for us."
Currently, freshman Dell Guy is TCU's lone 400-meter runner on the men's side.
Love, who attends Cleveland Heights High School, is competing this weekend at the Ohio State Track and Field Regionals. On Friday, Love helped Cleveland Heights set a meet and stadium record with a time of 3:14.15 to win the 4x400 relay.
