- McKale Davis won the 10,000 meters at the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships on May 11 in San Diego, Calif.
- A senior from Fairfax, Okla., Davis¹ win marked the first in any event of her four-year track and cross country career.
- With the win, Davis became the first female in TCU history to win a league title in the 10,000 meters.
- Davis won the title with a personal-best time of 36:22.75. Throughout most of the race, Davis stayed amongst a pack of the top five runners. Davis began to make her move over the course of the last 600 meters or so until she was able to make her move and overtake BYU's Amber Muffin.
