
Hesselberg places 31st in three-meter dive at NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Sophomore diver R.J. Hesselberg took 31st spot in the three-meter diving event on Friday at the 2007 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
Hesselberg recorded a score of 284.75 in the three-meter dive to finish in 31st place in the event. On Thursday, Hesselberg placed 30th in the one-meter event with a score of 262.90.
Action will conclude tomorrow with the platform diving event starting at 1:30 CT. The top eight divers in the preliminaries will advance to the finals, while the next eight divers will move on to the consolation round.
The Saskatoon, Canada, native posted a score of 291.45 in the platform diving event at the Mountain West Conference Championships last month to place third.
