WACO, Texas-The TCU Equestrian team (1-3) will take on Baylor (0-4) in the first of three round robin games this weekend as part of the Baylor Fall Tournament. Other games this weekend include a rematch from earlier this month with Stephen F. Austin, as well as the Frogs first ever matchup with Delaware State.
Today's game against Baylor will be the first regular season game between the two schools. Last season the Frogs helped the Bears complete a scrimmage, as they sent members of their team for a preseason exhibition. Carrie von Uhlit is the lone Frog to compete this weekend, who also competed in the scrimmage last year.
TCU will be looking to extend its Western record to a perfect 5-0. The English team will also be looking for back to back victories for the first time in its history as they wona tiebreaker with Stephen F. Austin earlier this month.
Individually, the weekend will be a homecoming of sorts for freshman Tassie Munroe. She is from the Waco area and will have support from many family and friends. "Many of my friends that are still in high school and that go to Baylor are coming to watch," Munroe said. "My parents and both of my eighty-six year old grandparents are also coming to support the team."
The format for the weekend is as follows. TCU will play Baylor and the first half of their game against Delaware State Friday. Saturday, the Frogs will finish their game against the Hornets, as well as have their rematch against Stephen F. Austin.
All action can be followed on gofrogs.com, as results will be posted immediately following the conclusion of play today.
