MWC announces changes in TCU football TV schedule

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- With the new partnership between CSTV and Comcast for ownership and distribution of The mtn., the Mountain West Conference's new regional sports network, revisions have been made in the 2006 television schedule for the TCU football team.
Horned Frog home games versus Texas Tech (Sept. 16) and BYU (Sept. 28) as well as an Oct. 5 date at Utah have been moved from CSTV to Versus (currently OLN and seen in nearly 70 million homes). The kickoff time for both the Texas Tech and BYU games have been moved up one hour. The contest with the Red Raiders is now at 4:30 p.m. The Thursday game with the Cougars is set for 5 p.m. The Utah contest remains at 8 p.m. Central.
"The new relationship between CSTV and Comcast is a positive for TCU and the Mountain West Conference," TCU Athletics Director Danny Morrison said. "Being able to have five of our games broadcast in nearly 70 million homes provides tremendous coverage.
"With other national games on CSTV, Fox Sports Net and ESPN, as well as regional coverage through The mtn., our football program is positioned for outstanding exposure this fall."
TCU's Oct. 28 home game with Wyoming has been moved back 30 minutes to a 6:30 p.m. start. The contest will be seen on The mtn.
A Nov. 4 road game at UNLV will be televised by Versus instead of The mtn. Kickoff will remain at 2 p.m. Central. The Nov. 18 home date with San Diego State will also be seen on Versus with a 3 p.m. start.
A Nov. 25 game at Colorado State will be seen on The mtn. with the kickoff time moved to 6 p.m. Central.
The Dec. 2 regular-season finale with Air Force has been moved from The mtn. to CSTV and will remain a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
