NEW YORK -- Former TCU offensive tackle Michael Toudouze has been selected in the fifth round of the National Football League draft by the Indianapolis Colts.Toudouze was the 30th player chosen in the fifth round and 162nd overall. He's the second Horned Frog drafted Sunday. Wide receiver Cory Rodgers was selected in the fourth round by Green Bay.
TCU's Gary Patterson has now had 13 players drafted in his five-year tenure as head coach.
It's the second straight year a Frogs' offensive tackle has been taken in the fifth round with the 162nd overall pick. In 2005, Anthony Alabi was drafted by Miami with the 26th selection in the fifth round.
Toudouze, who played in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game, was a first-team All-Mountain West Conference performer in 2005. He started all 12 games at left tackle and helped pave the way for the league's top scoring offense (33.2 points per game).
A native of San Antonio, Toudouze posted over 50 knockdown blocks last season. He recorded a season-best 11 knockdowns in a 48-10 win at Air Force.
Toudouze played in 44 of 48 games, including all but one over the last three seasons, in his Frog career. He was a four-year letterman.
