FT. WORTH, Texas - Flyin' Frog sprinters Virgil Hodge and Justyn Warner have been selected as TCU's Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances at the Wes Kittley Open in Lubbock, Texas, last weekend. The honor is a career first for both Hodge and Warner.
Originally from St. Kitts, Caribbean, Hodge led the TCU women with two first-place finishes. After taking the 55-meter crown earlier in the day, she went on to make a sweep of the 200 meters with a personal best time of 23.84.
Warner, a freshman from Markham, Ontario (Canada), finished three-one hundredths of a second ahead of teammate Bradley Reed in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.33 to claim his first career gold medal.
