Lance Broadway Named C-USA Pitcher Of The Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU right-handed pitcher Lance Broadway was named the Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for his performance this past weekend against the No. 5 Rice Owls. The honor marks the first n Broadway's career and the second for the Frogs this spring.
Broadway threw a complete-game, three-hitter in a 2-1 win at No. 7 Rice on Friday night. He struck out eight and walked three, while not allowing an earned run. Broadway did not surrender a hit after the fifth inning and didn't have more than one runner on base after the second. The Frogs improved to 4-0 in games that Broadway starts. He leads the staff with three wins.
Shelby Ford was honored earlier this season as the Conference USA Hitter of the Week on Feb. 14.
The son of Toni Broadway and Lynn Broadway, Broadway is a native of Grand Prairie, Texas and a transfer from Dallas Baptist.
