FORT WORTH, Texas - Senior opposite Ellen Rehme earned the title of Conference USA Player of the Week, the conference office announced today. Rehme, a 6-1 native of Indianapolis, Ind., helped the Horned Frogs complete a perfect 4-0 weekend in Boston; she twice skirted the 30-kill mark, hitting 29 against Boston College and 28 against Northeastern.
Rehme also compiled a .368 hitting average for the weekend after collecting 72 kills and 16 errors in 152 attacks. She also landed four service aces and a total of 76 points.
Rehme is only the second Horned Frog volleyball player to be named Player of the Week. Fellow senior Dominika Szabo earned the recognition last year.
The Frogs play tomorrow afternoon in Shreveport, La., against Northwestern State at 3 p.m. and Centenary at 5 p.m.
