Purple-White Game Set for Saturday, April 3

The TCU football squad will put the pads on for the final time this spring on Saturday, April 3, when they compete in the annual Spring Game. The contest pitting the Purple against the White is set for 11:00 a.m. on the W.A. "Monty & Tex" Moncrief Field at Amon G. Carter Stadium on the TCU campus in Fort Worth. Admission to the scrimmage is free.
"This is the culmination of our 15 spring practices," said TCU head coach Gary Patterson. "They are the first 15 of 44 practices we have to get ready for the season opener against Northwestern. Obviously it's important to get the "ones" ready, but we also are trying to grow up the "two" and "threes" so they are ready to step in if needed."
The Horned Frogs will open the 2004 season at home on Thursday, September 2, with a nationally-televised contest against the Northwestern Wildcats from the Big Ten Conference. The game will carried by either ESPN or ESPN2.
