Head coach Jim Schlossnagle and TCU baseball are set to host the second annual 1st Pitch Banquet on February 4 at Ridglea Country Club. The banquet will provide fans the opportunity to meet the 2005 TCU Horned Frogs as well as interact with the coaching staff. American League Manager of the Year and Texas Rangers manager, Buck Showalter, will be the guest speaker for the event which begins with a cocktail reception at 6:15 followed by dinner at 7 pm.
"This is a great event to kickoff our baseball season," remarked Schlossnagle. "It will be an exciting night and great opportunity for all TCU fans and baseball fans in the metroplex to meet and hear from the reigning American League Manager of the Year. In addition, we will introduce the 2005 TCU baseball team to the public."
Cost for the banquet is set at $100 per seat or $1000 for a table of 10. Dress for the event calls for business attire. Proceeds will go to supporting the TCU baseball team with scholarships, equipment and travel aid.
