Kinyanjui Named Cross Country Athlete of the Week

TCU cross country standout Mary Kinyanjui has been selected as the Conference USA women's cross country Athlete of the Week for the weekend of October 16, the league office announced today.
Kinyanjui, a senior from Kiambu, Kenya, returned from a calf injury that sidelined her for a week to post a personal best 6K time of 20:37.8 en route to a fourth-place finish at the Chili Pepper Festival Cross Country meet in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday. The defending C-USA and South Central Region individual champion helped lead the Horned Frogs to a seventh place finish among 31 teams.
Kinyanjui and the Horned Frogs will next be in action at the Conference USA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 30 in Chicago.
