Rifle places sixth and seventh at Memphis and Ole Miss

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU Rifle finished another weekend of double competitions Sept. 27-28 in Memphis and Mississippi.
The Frogs started the weekend in Memphis for the Tiger Invitational where the team placed seventh. Freshman Nikki LeCompte (Manassas, Va./Osbourn Park) shot a 374 to earn an 18th place finish. Senior Nina Martinez (Houston, Texas/Jersey Village) placed 23rd with an air rifle score of 372. Junior Jess Parras (Monahans, Texas/Monahans) and junior Joncee Moulder (Weatherford, Texas/Weatherford) rounded out the team with 37th and 38th place finishes.
The team traveled to Mississippi the next day for the Ole Miss Invitational. The Purple team was led by sophomore Celeste Green (Lufkin, Texas/Hewitt), who shot a 379 and placed 14th. LeCompte was not far behind her with a 377 score and 19th place finish. Martinez placed 29th with a score of 367. Parras shot a 355 for the team.
Moulder was the leader for the White squad with a 25th place finish. She also earned her highest score to date of 372 in air rifle. Junior Stephanie Lawrenz (Corona Del Mar, Calif./Corona Del Mar) competed in her first collegiate meet along with sophomore Janelle Stecklein. Both girls placed with scores of 337 and 275, respectively. Junior Dana O'Shea (Palm Harbor, Fla./Palm Harbor Univ.) shot a 329.
The Frogs next meet was at home with the Horned Frog Invitational Oct. 10-12.
