Frogs Set For Conference Indoor Championships

The TCU track & field squads will travel to Bloomington, Indiana this weekend for the Conference USA Indoor Championships. The Frogs are looking for a bit of history, as a first place finish by either the men's or women's squad would be the first Conference USA championship in any sport in Horned Frog history. They could share the spotlight this weekend with the TCU women's basketball team, which is looking to close out the regular season conference title as well.
The indoor track championships get underway on Friday afternoon with field events beginning at 2 p.m. and the running events beginning at 4 p.m. The meet continues on Saturday, with the field events set to begin at 11 a.m., while the running events are slated to begin at 12:30 p.m.
Defending champions are Charlotte on the men's side and South Florida on the women's side.
Here are the expected Frog contestants and the events in which they are slated to compete. TCU will also run in the 4x400 meter and Distance Medley relays on both the men's and women's sides:

60 meter dash: Cleavon Dillon, Demario Wesley, Kimton Coleman, Michael Frater
60 meter hurdles: LaTarence Dunbar
200 meter dash: Steve Slowly, Michael Frater, Jermaine Joseph, Kimton Coleman

800 meter run: Jason Morgan

3000 meter run: Eliud Njubi, Herbert Mwangi, Justin Speer, Sean McMahon
5000 meter run: Herbert Mwangi
Pole Vault: Cody Koontz
Long Jump: Cleavon Dillon, Brandal Lawrence, Kimton Coleman, Aundre Edwards
