
TCU Volleyball Signs Fourth Recruit

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball announced today the signing of setter Jacqueline Choi to a National Letter of Intent for the 2002 season. Choi, a senior at Mary Carroll High School (Corpus Christi, Texas), was a three-year varsity starter and captain this season.
She was named district MVP and to the all-south Texas first team during her junior year. As a sophomore, Choi earned various all-tournament accolades, as well as district, all-metro and all-south Texas Newcomer of the Year honors. She was the Channel 3 Academic Athlete of the Week as a senior and Channel 6 Academic Athlete of the Week as a junior.
Choi has played for the Corpus Christi volleyball club for four years, including the last three on the 18 & under division team coached by Rick VanBrunt. A member of National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Junior Engineering and Technical Society, Junior Statesmen of America, Junior Council, Sophomore Council and Freshman Council, Choi chose TCU over the Air Force Academy, Stephen F. Austin, UT-Pan American and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
