TCU Adds Two More to 2002 Volleyball Signing Class

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball announced today the signing of two more National Letters of Intent for the 2002 season. The Frogs signed middle blocker Erin Estep and outside hitter Carissa Mills, the two are the second and third players to sign with TCU for the upcoming season.
Estep, a senior at Putnam City (Okla.) High School, was a three-year varsity starter and two-year team captain under coach Debi Bays. She was named to all-state first team, all-conference, all-city first team and the Edmond Swing all-tournament team as a senior, while earning all-state second team and all-conference honors as a junior and being named all-conference and to the Edmond Swing all-tournament team during her sophomore season. The Daily Oklahoman listed her as the No. 1 player to watch in 2001. Estep has also been a three-year starter for the Oklahoma Wind, a national level team. A member of Spanish Club, Native American Club and PEAK, Estep has also served as a junior class vice-president and student council representative, while volunteering with a variety of community organizations.
Mills, a senior at Magnolia (Texas) High School, was a three-year varsity letterwinner under coach Terri Johnson. As a senior she was named to the Conroe Varsity and the Spring Branch all-tournament teams. During her junior season, she was tabbed to the 4A all-state honorable mention team, Montgomery County first team, Conroe Varsity all-tournament team and was named District 18-4A MVP, while being named to the Montgomery County second team, Conroe Varsity all-tournament team and earning District 18-4A Newcomer honors. She has played for the Texas Tornados club team for three years. Mills has been actively involved in student council, FCA, church youth group and has worked with Special Olympics teams during volleyball tournaments. She chose TCU over Cincinnati, Houston, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Tennessee.
