Hilltoppers Edge Out Men's Soccer 1-0

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (October 13, 2000) -- The TCU men's soccer team travelled to Bowling Green, Kentucky, on Friday, October 13, and lost to the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky 1-0 in a Missouri Valley Conference matchup. The loss dropped TCU's overall record to an even 6-6 on the year and 2-3 in the Missouri Valley. Western Kentucky improved their record to 5-8 on the season and 3-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The game's only goal came early in the first half at 13:52 when the Hilltoppers leading scorer, senior forward Steven Brown, scored his eighth goal of the season. All five of Western Kentucky's wins this year have come courtesy of Brown.
The Frogs travel to Evansville, Indiana, on Sunday, October 15, to face the Purple Aces in a Missouri Valley Conference match at 1 p.m. The Frogs return home on Friday, October 20, to face the Belmont Bruins. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
