Ed & Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex

The Ed & Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex was officially dedicated to the TCU men's and women's basketball program at a ceremony on April 2nd, 2004. At a cost of over $5-million - The Ed & Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex provides a first-class environment and facility for TCU student-athletes and coaches while serving as a model of state-of-the-art facilities to collegiate programs all over the country.

The 22,000-square foot basketball complex features two NCAA regulation basketball courts, office space for both the TCU men's and women's basketball coaching staffs, meeting rooms, a weight room - specifically for TCU basketball players - coaches' locker rooms as well as a lobby area. The Ed & Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex also features glass windows where faithful of the TCU men's and women's basketball program can view practice and watch their favorite players.

Ground was broken in July of 2003 on the Ed & Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex - the courts within the facility were available for use in March of 2004. The basketball complex is located next to the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum where they are connected by an enclosed walkway for easy access.

The Ed & Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex reflects the commitment of TCU as well as the Purple and White faithful to elevating the basketball programs to national prominence by giving them the finest practice facilities in the country. TCU Trustee Ed Schollmaier is a retired Fort Worth business executive who is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Alcon Laboratories while currently serving as the company's the non-executive chairman. Currently - he chairs the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the TCU Board of Trustees as well as serves as the chairman of the Executive and Intercollegiate Athletics Committees and Committee on Trusteeship. His wife - Rae - is a Fort Worth civic volunteer who has served on TCU's Fine Arts Board of Visitors as well as the Fine Arts Task Force of the Commission on the Future of TCU.
